Gurupurab: Divine Dishes with a Hint of Health

Guru Nanak Gurupurab or Guru Nanak Jayanti marks the birth of the first Sikh Guru who laid the foundation of Sikhism, Guru Nanak. To mark this auspicious day it is celebrated with great joy and fervour not just across the Sikh community but amongst all the Indians around the globe. The celebration is marked by some lip-smacking dishes that can make anyone drool and ask for more. From spicy curries to delectable desserts, mainly kada prasad, the treats are endless.
Here are some divine dishes that will elevate your Gurupurab celebrations and make your day filled with lots of cherished moments:
- Chana dal khichdi: A simple but flavourful recipe made using rice & chana dal. This is a protein-rich recipe that is also served in Gurudwaras as prasad.
