Almond Kahwa

For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 500 ml water
- 10 almonds (blanched and slivered)
- 4-5 green cardamom pods
- 2-3 cloves
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron strands
- 1 teaspoon dried rose petals
- 1 teaspoon green tea leaves
- 1 tablespoon chopped almonds for garnish
Procedure:
- In a saucepan, bring 500 ml of water to a boil. Add crushed cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, and saffron strands. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Turn off the heat and add green tea leaves to the spiced water. Let it steep for 2 minutes.
- Strain the kahwa into serving cups.
- Add blanched and slivered almonds to the cups. Garnish with extra chopped almonds and rose petals and serve hot.
