Arbi ki Tikki

Arbi ki Tikki is a delicious Indian snack made from mashed taro root (arbi) mixed with spices like cumin, coriander, and garam masala. The tikkis are shallow-fried to a crispy, golden perfection and served hot with mint chutney, offering a unique blend of earthy and spicy flavors.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 200 grams boiled and mashed arbi (taro root)
- 1 tablespoon besan
- 1 finely chopped green chilies,
- 1 inch grated ginger,
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon fresh coriander leaves
- Salt, to taste
- 2 teaspoons grams oil
Procedure:
- Boil and peel the arbi, then mash it thoroughly.
- In a bowl, mix mashed arbi with besan, green chilies, ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, fresh coriander, and salt.
- Shape the mixture into small tikkis.
- Heat a pan and add oil. Shallow fry the tikkis on medium heat until golden and crispy on both sides.
Serve hot with mint chutney.
