Baked Apples with Prunes & Cinnamon are a warm and comforting dessert that highlights the natural sweetness of apples and prunes. For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 2 medium apples
- 60 grams chopped pitted prunes
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon water
- A pinch of salt
Procedure:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Core the apples and cut them in half. Place them cut-side up in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the chopped prunes, cinnamon powder, walnuts, nut butter, water, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the ingredients are combined.
- Spoon the prune mixture evenly into the hollowed centers of the apple halves.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm as a delicious dessert.
