Baked Cottage Cheese and Raw Banana Tikki

Baked Cottage Cheese and Raw Banana Tikki is a delicious and nutritious snack combining the creamy texture of cottage cheese with the subtle sweetness of raw banana. Seasoned with aromatic spices and herbs, these tikkis are baked to crispy perfection, offering a wholesome alternative to fried snacks.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams crumbled paneer
  • 1 medium peeled and grated raw banana
  • 50 grams finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 finely chopped green chili
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon rice flour
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil

Procedure:

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • In a large bowl, combine crumbled cottage cheese, grated raw banana, chopped onion, coriander leaves, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste.
  • Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add rice flour to the mixture and mix until well combined. This will help in binding the mixture and forming tikkis.
  • Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into small round patties or tikkis. Press gently to flatten them slightly.
  • Place the shaped tikkis on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a non-stick baking mat.
  • Brush the top of each tikki with olive oil to help them crisp up during baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tikkis are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through baking for even cooking.
  • Serve the baked cottage cheese and raw banana tikkis hot with your favorite chutney or dip.

Nutritional Benefits:
