Banana Bread

This Healthy Banana Bread is a moist and delicious treat that makes the most of ripe bananas for natural sweetness. With a blend of whole wheat and almond flours, it offers a hearty texture while keeping the recipe nutritious. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert, this banana bread is a wholesome option the whole family will enjoy.

For a Serving Size of One Loaf:

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams ripe mashed bananas
  • 100 grams whole wheat flour
  • 50 grams almond flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 15 grams chopped walnuts
  • 15 grams  chopped dates

Procedure:

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix. If desired, fold in chopped walnuts and chopped dates.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
