Cabbage stir fry

Quick, easy and delicious stir fry cabbage is a must try. It can be served with veggies, chapatti, chat, sandwiches or with plain rice. You can enjoy it both as a side or main dish.
 
Nutritional benefits: Cabbage is a package of vitamin, minerals and antioxidants. The antioxidants in cabbage reduce inflammation and the fiber improves digestion. It is a good source of Vitamin K that plays various important roles. All the other veggies offer different health benefits and are very beneficial.
Ingredients:

  • 20 grams cabbage (shredded)
  • 10 grams carrot (chopped)
  • 5 grams bell peppers (chopped)
  • 5 grams peas
  • 5 grams chopped ginger
  • 5 grams chopped garlic
  • 1-2 green chillies
  • 5 grams pesto sauce
  • 5 grams oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt as per taste
  • Coriander leaves and sesame seeds for garnishing

Method:

  • Take the shredded cabbage and wash in warm water thoroughly.
  • Let it dip for about 2 minutes in warm water and then drain.
  • Heat some oil in a pan, sauté the ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  • Add the veggies and sauté them for about 3-4 minutes. Do not overcook them and leave them crunchy.
  • Spread the veggies on the side of the pan and add pesto sauce, pepper, salt, oregano and other herbs of choice.
  • Cook for a minute more along with the veggies.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and sesame seeds and serve hot in a bowl!
