Cinnamon Apple Fruit Squares

These Cinnamon Apple Fruit Squares are a naturally sweet treat, perfect for a healthy kids’ snack or breakfast. The apples and banana add natural sugars, while cinnamon gives a cozy, delicious flavor.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium finely chopped apple (about 120 grams)
  • 60 grams oats
  • 30 grams whole wheat flour
  • 1 small mashed banana (about 60 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • A pinch of salt

Procedure:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, whole wheat flour, cinnamon powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the mashed banana, coconut oil, and chopped apple to the dry ingredients. Mix until a thick, sticky batter forms.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish. Press down to smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and firm to the touch.
  5. Let it cool, then cut into squares and serve.
