Crispy Corn Cutlets

Crispy Corn Cutlets are delightful, golden-brown patties made from a flavorful mixture of sweet corn, mashed potatoes, and aromatic spices. These cutlets offer a satisfying crunch on the outside with a soft, savory interior. They’re best enjoyed with tangy green chutney, making them a perfect snack or appetizer.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 100 grams boiled sweet corn kernels
- 60 grams mashed boiled potatoes
- 30 grams bread crumbs
- 1 green chili
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh coriander
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil for shallow frying
Procedure:
- In a bowl, mash the boiled corn kernels slightly, keeping some texture.
- Add the mashed potatoes, bread crumbs, green chili, cumin powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.
- Add fresh coriander and mix again until the ingredients are well combined.
Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into flat round cutlets. - Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying.
- Place the cutlets in the pan and cook on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
- Serve hot with green chutney.
