Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas

Roasted Chickpeas are a crunchy and flavorful snack that is easy to make and highly versatile. Coated in a blend of olive oil and spices, these chickpeas become crisp and golden, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite. Ideal as a standalone snack or as a topping for salads and soups, they provide a nutritious and delicious way to enjoy chickpeas.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 60 grams chickpeas
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste (about 1/4 teaspoon)
- Black pepper to taste
Procedure:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Boil the chickpeas.
- In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil until they are evenly coated.
- Add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss again to ensure even coating.
- Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
- Shake the pan or stir the chickpeas halfway through roasting for even cooking.
- Remove from the oven and let the chickpeas cool completely. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Enjoy as a snack or use as a crunchy topping for salads and soups.
