Crunchy Walnut Salmon is a delightful blend of tender salmon topped with a crisp, flavorful walnut crust. The combination of Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and garlic creates a zesty layer beneath the nutty topping, while the oven-baked walnuts add texture and richness to the dish. It’s a simple yet gourmet meal that is both healthy and delicious.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 200 grams salmon fillets (2 fillets)
- 30 grams finely chopped walnuts
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix the olive oil, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Brush the mixture onto the salmon fillets. Press the chopped walnuts onto the top of each fillet.
- Place the salmon on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the walnut crust is golden.
