These laddoos are not only a great snack but also a healthy dessert option, offering a perfect blend of taste and nutrition. Ideal for those looking for a guilt-free sweet treat, these laddoos can be enjoyed by both kids and adults alike.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 60 grams rolled oats
- 20 grams desiccated coconut
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 20 grams roasted coarsely ground peanuts or almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons mashed ripe banana
- 15 grams chopped dried fruits (such as raisins, figs, or apricots)
Procedure:
- Heat a pan on low flame and dry roast the rolled oats until they turn slightly golden and aromatic. This should take about 4-5 minutes. Once done, let them cool and then grind them into a coarse powder.
- In the same pan, lightly roast the desiccated coconut for 2-3 minutes until it turns golden. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground oats, roasted desiccated coconut, and ground peanuts or almonds.
- In the same pan, melt the ghee. Add the mashed banana and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes slightly thick.
- Add the dry ingredients into the pan with the banana and mix well until you get a dough-like consistency.
- If the mixture feels too dry, you can add a bit more ghee.
- Let it cool slightly, then take small portions and roll them into laddoos.
- Press a few chopped dried fruits into each laddoo, adding texture and natural sweetness.
- Allow the laddoos to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
