Drumstick soup

Drumstick soup is a relishing recipe which you can enjoy at any time during the day. It consist of low calorie ingredients such as drumstick leaves, carrots and Tomato to provide you with tangy tinge and flavor.
Nutritional benefits –

Drumsticks leaves are rich in protein, calcium, iron, antioxidants, vitamin C and amino acids. Carrot is a rich source of Vitamin A and fiber. Vitamin A act as antioxidant and further improves vision.

Ingredients –

  • 40 grams drumsticks leaves
  • 20 grams carrot
  • 20 grams onion
  • 20 grams tomato
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 cup water or vegetable broth
  • 1teaspoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper as per taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

  • Protein- 1.5 grams
  • Carbohydrates- 4.6 grams
  • Fat- 4.4 grams

Method –

  1. Put some oil in a saucepan and add ginger garlic paste and cook until its flavour is completely absorbed
  2. Add drumstick leaves and vegetables like carrot, onion and tomato in the pan and cook thoroughly.
  3. Cook until soft and water or vegetable broth and bring to boil.
  4. Add salt, pepper and lime juice and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
