For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 2 medium radishes (approximately 200 grams), thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano or thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
Procedure:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
- Wash and peel the radishes. Slice them as thinly as possible using a mandoline or a sharp knife to ensure they crisp up nicely.
- In a large bowl, toss the radish slices with olive oil to coat evenly.
- Add the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and chili powder. Toss well to ensure all slices are coated with the seasoning.
- Arrange the radish slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overlapping to ensure they bake evenly and become crispy.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are crisp and golden brown. Keep an eye on them towards the end to prevent burning.
- Remove the radish chips from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Nutritional Benefits:
- Radishes are low in calories and high in fiber, making them a great choice for a healthy snack.
- They contain essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, potassium, and folate.
