Flavorful Masala Egg

Flavourful Masala Egg is a delicious, protein-packed dish where hard-boiled eggs are simmered in a spiced onion-tomato masala. The earthy cumin seeds, bold garam masala, and fiery chili powders give the dish a rich and aromatic flavor, while the fresh coriander adds a burst of freshness.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 80 grams finely chopped onions
- 80 grams finely chopped tomatoes
- 1 green chili
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 2 teaspoons oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Procedure:
- Hard-boil the eggs by placing them in boiling water for 9-10 minutes. Peel and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes, green chili, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil separates.
- Cut the boiled eggs in half and add them to the pan.
- Gently mix the eggs with the masala and cook for 2-3 minutes to let the flavors blend.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the eggs and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti, bread, or rice.
