Flaxseeds Dry Chutney

Flaxseeds Dry Chutney is a flavorful, spicy, and nutritious condiment that adds a delicious crunch to your meal. Made with roasted flaxseeds, coconut, and spices, it is versatile and pairs well with a variety of Indian dishes.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 50 grams flaxseeds
  • 20 grams dry grated coconut
  • 10 grams sesame seeds
  • 5 grams roasted peanuts
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin powder

Procedure:

  1. In a pan, dry roast flaxseeds over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until they start to pop slightly. Set aside to cool.
  2. In the same pan, lightly toast grated coconut, sesame seeds, and garlic until aromatic. Allow to cool.
  3. Add all ingredients (flaxseeds, toasted mixture, peanuts, chili powder, salt, and cumin powder) to a grinder and pulse until coarsely ground.
  4. Transfer the chutney powder to an airtight container and store. Serve as a dry chutney with meals, dosa, or chapati.
