Frozen Apple & Banana

Frozen Apple & Banana is a refreshing and nutritious snack or dessert that combines the natural sweetness of fruit with the richness of dark chocolate. With the addition of crunchy nuts and a hint of cinnamon, this frozen treat is easy to make and perfect for a hot day or a healthy dessert option.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 100 grams sliced banana (1 medium sized banana)
- 80 grams sliced apple (1 small apple)
- 30 grams dark chocolate (70% or higher cocoa content)
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
- 2 teaspoons chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
Procedure:
- Place the banana and apple slices in the freezer for about 1 hour, until they are firm and frozen.
- In a microwave or using a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate along with the coconut oil until smooth.
- Once the fruit is frozen, dip the banana and apple slices into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat half of each slice. Place them back on the tray.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts and cinnamon powder over the chocolate-coated fruit for added flavor and crunch.
- Return the tray to the freezer for another 10-15 minutes, until the chocolate hardens.
- Once set, enjoy your Frozen Apple & Banana slices as a refreshing and healthy snack or dessert. Store any leftovers in the freezer.
