Golden Tonic

Golden Tonic is a warm and invigorating drink featuring a blend of turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper, enhanced with a touch of honey and lemon juice. Its golden hue and spicy flavor make it both comforting and refreshing, perfect as a morning boost or a calming evening drink.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder (or fresh turmeric root, grated)
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper

Procedure:

  1. Heat 250 ml of water in a saucepan.
  2. Stir in turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, and cayenne. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, strain into cups, and add lemon juice. Stir in honey or maple syrup if you’d like a touch of sweetness.
