Airfried Kale Chips

Airfried Kale Chips are a crunchy, nutritious snack that satisfies cravings without the guilt. They are quick to prepare and make for a fantastic alternative to traditional chips, delivering a dose of greens in a fun, crispy form!

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 160°C (320°F) for about 5 minutes.
  • Rinse the kale leaves under cold water and dry thoroughly using a salad spinner or paper towels. This step is important for achieving crispiness.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the kale leaves with olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until the kale is evenly coated.
  • Place the seasoned kale leaves in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches if your air fryer is small. Air fry for about 5-7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  • Keep an eye on the chips, as they can burn quickly. They are done when they are crispy and have a vibrant green color.
  • Once cooked, remove the kale chips and let them cool for a minute. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for later.

Procedure:

  1. In a large bowl or jug, combine the sattu with water. Stir well to dissolve the sattu completely. You can use a whisk to avoid lumps.
  2. Add the lemon juice, cumin powder, black salt, and regular salt. Mix well.
  3. If the drink is too thick, add more water until you reach the desired consistency.
  4. If using, stir in the chopped fresh coriander leaves and finely chopped green chilies.
  5. Serve chilled, over ice if desired.
