Lemony Glazed Salmon is a simple yet flavorful dish that features succulent salmon fillets coated in a bright, tangy lemon glaze. The combination of lemon juice and zest, along with garlic, creates a refreshing taste that enhances the natural flavors of the salmon, making it a delightful meal any time of year.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets (about 150-200 grams each)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp lemon zest (from about 1 lemon)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley or dill for garnish (optional)
- Lemon slices for serving
Procedure:
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, honey or maple syrup (if using), minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is well coated. Marinate for at least 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator for better flavor.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- Bake the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top of the fillets. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley or dill, if desired. Serve with lemon slices on the side.
