Mint Iced Tea

Mint Iced Tea is a refreshing and cooling beverage, made with brewed green or black tea, infused with fresh mint leaves, and a splash of lemon juice. The tea is chilled and served over ice, creating a rejuvenating drink that’s perfect for warm days. It’s lightly aromatic, with a balance of herbal and citrusy flavors.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 500 ml water
  • 2 teaspoons green tea or black tea leaves
  • 15-20 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and extra mint leaves for garnish

Procedure:

  • Boil the water, then remove from heat. Add the tea leaves (or tea bags) and half of the mint leaves. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, then strain and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  • Once cooled, stir in lemon juice and the remaining fresh mint leaves.
  • Place the tea in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to chill.
  • Pour the chilled tea into glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves.
