Mushroom Chickpea Burger

Burgers are always a guilt indulgence but if made with healthy ingredients, they can be enjoyed. The patties are made from a blend of sautéed mushrooms, boiled chickpeas, and aromatic spices, giving them a deliciously savory taste. Cooked until crispy and served on multigrain burger buns with Greek yogurt, sliced tomatoes, and fresh lettuce, these burgers are both satisfying and nutritious.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 2 multigrain grain burger buns
- 100 grams button mushrooms
- 60 grams boiled chickpeas
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 20 grams chopped spring onions
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons greek yoghurt
- 50 grams sliced tomato
- 2 – 3 lettuce leaves
- Salt, pepper, mixed herb powder to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Procedure:
- Heat a pan, and add 1 teaspoon oil and then garlic, spring onion, and mushroom. Saute them well. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add garam masala and red chilli pwoder, let it cook until dry.
- In a boiled mash boiled chickpea with folk or masher; leaving a few chunks. In this bowl add mushroom mix, bread crumbs, and salt.
- Mix all the ingredients well and form into the patty’s shape.
- In a flat pan, brush some oil and cook patties until crisp and brown. Flip the side and cook on the other side.
- In a bowl add curd and mixed herb powder. Spread curd on one side of the bread, and place sliced tomato and lettuce leaves on it. Now place patties on it and the burger is ready to be served.
