Orange Raita

This unique orange raita combines the creamy texture of yogurt with the bright, juicy flavor of fresh oranges, enhanced with the warmth of cumin and a hint of black salt. It’s perfect as a cooling side dish for spicy meals or as a light and refreshing treat on its own.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 200 grams plain yogurt (dahi)
- 100 grams chopped orange segments
- 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the chopped orange segments, roasted cumin powder, black salt, and black pepper powder. Mix until well combined.
- Add salt to taste, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves if desired.
- Serve the raita chilled, either as a side dish or as a refreshing snack.
