Peach Stew

Peach Stew is a delightful, sweet dish that celebrates the natural flavor of fresh peaches. This comforting treat is perfect as a light dessert or a topping for yogurt or pancakes. The gentle cooking process allows the peaches to soften while infusing them with the warm aroma of cinnamon, making it a cozy addition to any meal.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams diced peaches
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Fresh mint leaves

Procedure:

  • In a saucepan, combine the diced peaches, water, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat and bring it to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the peaches are soft and have released their natural juices.
  • If the stew is too thick, add a little more water to reach your desired consistency. For a smoother texture, you can mash the peaches with a fork or blend them slightly.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled in bowls, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
