Quinoa Wraps

Quinoa Wraps are a delightful fusion of nutritious ingredients wrapped in a homemade amaranth and whole wheat roti. Filled with a flavorful mix of quinoa, vegetables, and spices, these wraps offer a satisfying meal that is both wholesome and delicious.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 30 grams amaranth flour
  • 30 grams whole wheat flour
  • 30 grams quinoa
  • 80 grams finely chopped onion
  • 80 grams finely chopped tomato
  • 80 grams finely chopped bell peppers
  • 4 – 5 cloves of garlic
  • 2 green chilies finely chopped 
  • ½  teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Procedure:

  • Combine amaranth flour, whole wheat flour and knead the soft dough using water.
  • Cover and keep this aside for ten to fifteen minutes.
  • Meanwhile, bring quinoa to boil until the water has been absorbed to half.
  • Then heat oil in a pan and add garlic, onion and cook until they turn brown in colour.
  • Now, add tomato and bell peppers followed by cooked quinoa and spices. Mix well and put it aside.
  • Roll the dough into a round roti using a little wheat flour
  • Heat a tawa over moderate flame and place roti over it.
  • When small bubbles start forming, turn it over, and cook it from the other side.
  • Press the edges with a spatula so that the edges are also cooked well.
  • Cook it evenly from both sides. When cooked, with the help of a spoon apply the mixture on the chapati and twist it to form a wrap.
  • Serve hot.
