Quinoa Wraps

Quinoa Wraps are a delightful fusion of nutritious ingredients wrapped in a homemade amaranth and whole wheat roti. Filled with a flavorful mix of quinoa, vegetables, and spices, these wraps offer a satisfying meal that is both wholesome and delicious.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 30 grams amaranth flour
- 30 grams whole wheat flour
- 30 grams quinoa
- 80 grams finely chopped onion
- 80 grams finely chopped tomato
- 80 grams finely chopped bell peppers
- 4 – 5 cloves of garlic
- 2 green chilies finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Procedure:
- Combine amaranth flour, whole wheat flour and knead the soft dough using water.
- Cover and keep this aside for ten to fifteen minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring quinoa to boil until the water has been absorbed to half.
- Then heat oil in a pan and add garlic, onion and cook until they turn brown in colour.
- Now, add tomato and bell peppers followed by cooked quinoa and spices. Mix well and put it aside.
- Roll the dough into a round roti using a little wheat flour
- Heat a tawa over moderate flame and place roti over it.
- When small bubbles start forming, turn it over, and cook it from the other side.
- Press the edges with a spatula so that the edges are also cooked well.
- Cook it evenly from both sides. When cooked, with the help of a spoon apply the mixture on the chapati and twist it to form a wrap.
- Serve hot.
