Roasted Fig and Walnut Yogurt

Roasted Fig and Walnut Yogurt is a deliciously creamy and healthy dish that combines the rich flavors of roasted figs and crunchy walnuts with smooth Greek yogurt. This dish is perfect for a satisfying snack, providing a delightful balance of sweetness and texture.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams plain Greek yogurt
  • 4-6 fresh halved figs
  • 30 grams roughly chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Procedure:

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Place the halved figs on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  • Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  • Add the chopped walnuts to the baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes until the figs are tender and the walnuts are slightly toasted. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  • In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with cinnamon powder  and a pinch of salt. Adjust the sweetness with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • Once the figs and walnuts are roasted, let them cool slightly.
  • Divide the yogurt into two bowls. Top each serving with the roasted figs and walnuts.
