Hung Curd and Cottage Cheese Salad

This refreshing salad combines the creamy richness of hung curd and cottage cheese with a vibrant mix of diced vegetables and fresh herbs. Cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers provide crunch and color, while lettuce adds a crisp texture. The dressing, made with lemon juice and olive oil, adds a tangy and light touch, making this salad an ideal chilled dish for a nutritious meal.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 150 grams hung curd (strained yoghurt)
- 80 grams diced cottage cheese (paneer)
- 50 grams diced cucumber
- 50 grams diced tomato
- 50 grams finely chopped onion
- 50 grams diced green bell pepper
- 20 grams roughly chopped lettuce leaves
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1.5 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
- In a large bowl, combine the hung curd, cottage cheese, cucumber, tomato, red onion, bell pepper, lettuce, coriander leaves, and mint leaves.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss gently to combine.
- Adjust salt and pepper according to taste.
- Serve the salad chilled.
