This Sprouted Methi Salad is a simple, nutritious, and flavorful dish that highlights the unique bitterness of fenugreek sprouts balanced by the freshness of cucumber and tomatoes. The addition of roasted cumin and lemon juice enhances the flavor profile, adding a hint of warmth and tang. It’s a great salad to enjoy as a snack or as a side dish with any meal.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 50 grams sprouted fenugreek (methi) seeds
- 100 grams finely chopped cucumber
- 50 grams finely chopped tomatoes
- 20 grams finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1 finely chopped green chili
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Procedure:
- In a large bowl, combine the sprouted fenugreek seeds, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, coriander leaves, and green chili.
- Add lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss the salad well to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Allow the salad to sit for a few minutes to let the flavors meld, then serve fresh.
