Broccoli Tikki

Broccoli Tikki is a delightful and nutritious Indian-style patty made from finely chopped broccoli, mashed potatoes, and aromatic spices. These tikkis are crispy on the outside, with a soft and flavorful interior, making them a perfect snack, appetizer, or side dish.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 100 grams finely chopped or grated broccoli
- 60 grams mashed boiled potatoes
- 20 grams finely chopped onions
- 10 grams finely chopped green chili
- 10 grams grated ginger
- 15 grams chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 20 grams chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons oil
Procedure:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped or grated broccoli, mashed potatoes, chopped onions, green chili, grated ginger, and chopped coriander leaves.
- Add chickpea flour, cumin seeds, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt to the mixture. Mix everything well to form a dough-like consistency.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into small, round tikkis (patties).
- Heat a non-stick pan or tawa over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- Place the tikkis on the pan and cook them on both sides until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the Broccoli Tikkis hot with chutney or yogurt.
