Crispy Kale Chips with Indian Spices

Indulge in a nutritious and unique Indian snack  with these crunchy chips are seasoned with flavorful Indian spices such as cumin, coriander, and turmeric add both flavor and potential health benefits, providing a satisfying and guilt-free munching experience.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch fresh kale leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste

Procedure:  

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Remove the tough stems from the kale leaves and tear them into bite-sized pieces. In a mixing bowl, drizzle the kale leaves with olive oil or coconut oil.
  • Sprinkle cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt over the kale leaves. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the seasoned kale leaves in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not crowded.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the kale leaves are crispy. Keep a close eye to prevent burning. 
  • Once the kale chips are crispy, remove them from the oven and let them cool. They will become even crispier as they cool down.
  • Transfer the Crispy Kale Chips with Indian Spices to a bowl and enjoy this wholesome and flavorful snack.
