Grilled Tofu

Grilled Tofu is a flavorful and nutritious dish, perfect for those seeking a plant-based protein option. Firm tofu slices are marinated in a zesty blend of olive oil, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and garlic powder, then grilled to perfection. The tofu develops a slightly crispy exterior with beautiful grill marks while retaining its tender texture inside. This dish is versatile and can be enjoyed as a protein-rich snack, added to salads, or served as part of a main meal.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 200 grams tofu sliced into 1 cm thick slabs firm
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- A pinch of salt
Procedure:
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce (or coconut aminos), black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
- Add the tofu slices to the bowl, gently tossing to coat each piece evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat.
- Once the grill is hot, place the marinated tofu slices on the grill.
- Grill each side for 3-4 minutes, or until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
- Remove from the grill and serve warm as a protein-packed snack or part of a meal.
- Serve with a side of fresh veggies.
