Spinach Bites are crispy, flavorful, and a nutrient-dense alternative to traditional chips. Perfect as a healthy snack or a crunchy addition to salads and soups.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 200 grams fresh spinach leaves
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Ensure the spinach leaves are completely dry. Any moisture can make the chips soggy. Remove any thick stems or large veins from the spinach leaves.
- In a large bowl, toss the spinach leaves with olive oil until they are evenly coated.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt over the spinach leaves, if using. Toss again to distribute the seasoning evenly.
- Spread the spinach leaves out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overlapping the leaves to ensure they crisp up evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the spinach leaves are crispy and slightly curled. Keep an eye on them towards the end of the baking time to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let the spinach chips cool on the baking sheet. They will become crispier as they cool. Enjoy the spinach chips as a healthy snack or a crunchy topping for salads and soups.
