Soya Granule Paratha

Soya Granule Paratha is a wholesome and flavorful Indian flatbread packed with the goodness of soya granules and aromatic spices. This paratha features a blend of wheat flour and nutrient-rich soya granules, which enhance its protein content and make it a satisfying meal. Perfect for a hearty breakfast or a fulfilling lunch, this paratha pairs beautifully with yogurt or mint chutney.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 60 grams wheat flour
- 40 grams soya granules (soaked and drained)
- 30 grams finely chopped onion
- 1 small finely chopped green chili
- 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon amchur (dry mango powder)
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons oil
Procedure:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour, soya granules, onion, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, amchur, and salt.
- Mix all the ingredients well. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth, pliable dough. If needed, add a teaspoon of oil for extra softness.
- Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle (parantha) on a floured surface.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Cook each parantha until golden brown on both sides, applying a little oil or ghee if desired.
- Serve hot with yogurt or mint chutney.
