Soya Kebabs

Soya Kebabs are a flavorful and nutritious option for anyone seeking a protein-rich, vegetarian dish. Made with softened soya granules mixed with onions, tomatoes, and aromatic spices, these kebabs are shaped into patties or sticks and pan-fried until golden and crispy. The result is a satisfying, savory treat that’s perfect as an appetizer or main dish, complemented well by a side of mint chutney or yogurt.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 50 grams Soya granules
- 20 grams besan
- 30 grams finely chopped onion
- 30 grams finely chopped tomatoes
- 1 finely chopped green chili
- 10 grams chopped fresh coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon oil for cooking
Procedure:
- Soak the soya granules in hot water for 10 minutes. Drain and squeeze out excess water.
- In a bowl, mix the soya granules, chickpea flour, onion, tomatoesgreen chili, coriander, ginger-garlic paste, and spices. Combine well.
- Form the mixture into small kebab shapes.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan and cook the kebabs for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with chutney or a dip of your choice!
