Spicy Lemon Tea

Spicy Lemon Tea is a vibrant and warming beverage that combines the bold flavors of black tea with the zing of fresh lemon juice and the heat of ginger, black pepper, and cumin. This tea is perfect for a cozy, invigorating drink that provides a spicy kick while offering soothing and aromatic qualities.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 black tea bag
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Procedure:

  • In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add the black tea leaves or tea bag to the boiling water. Add the grated ginger, black pepper, ground cumin. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. If desired, add honey and stir well until dissolved.
  • Strain the tea into cups, discarding the tea leaves or bag.
    Serve hot, and enjoy the spicy, tangy flavors!
