Turmeric Spiced Tea

For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 500 ml water
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric or 1-inch grated fresh turmeric root
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger or 1/2-inch grated fresh ginger root
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
- 1-2 cloves
Procedure:
- In a small pot, bring the water to a gentle boil.
- Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, and cloves to the boiling water. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.
- Strain the tea into mugs.
- Add honey and a dash of lemon juice, if desired. Stir well and enjoy warm.
