Tomato Basil Avocado Toast is a delightful and nutritious option for breakfast or a light snack. This recipe features creamy mashed avocado spread over crispy multigrain toast, topped with fresh tomato slices, aromatic basil leaves, and a drizzle of olive oil, creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 100 grams sliced tomato
- 4 fresh basil leaves
- 2 slices of multigrain bread
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Procedure:
- Toast the bread slices to your desired crispiness. You can use a toaster or a grill pan.
- While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Mash the avocado with a fork to your preferred consistency. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toasted bread slices.
- Arrange tomato slices on top of the avocado spread. Tear basil leaves and scatter them over the tomatoes.
