Tulsi Panchamrit

Tulsi Panchamrit is a traditional Indian drink that combines the sacred properties of Tulsi with nourishing dairy ingredients. This blend not only offers a unique flavor but also harnesses the numerous health benefits of Tulsi, making it a revitalizing and aromatic drink.
For a Serving Size of Prashad:
Ingredients:
- 50 grams fresh Tulsi (holy basil) leaves
- 200 ml cow’s milk
- 50 grams plain yogurt
- 20 grams honey
- 50 grams water
- A pinch of black pepper powder
- A pinch of cardamom powder
Procedure:
- Rinse the fresh Tulsi leaves under running water to remove any dirt. In a mortar and pestle, crush the leaves lightly to release their essence.
- In a small saucepan, bring the cow’s milk to a boil. Once it reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Tulsi leaves, yogurt, honey, black pepper powder, and cardamom powder.
- Gradually add the warm milk and water to the mixture, stirring continuously until everything is well combined.
- Pour the Tulsi Panchamrit into glasses and enjoy it warm or at room temperature.
