For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 240 ml water
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 60 ml milk
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish
Procedure:
- Heat the water until just below boiling (around 80°C or 175°F).
- In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder to avoid clumps. Add a small amount of the hot water (about 2 tablespoons) to the matcha powder and whisk vigorously using a bamboo whisk or a small regular whisk until the matcha is fully dissolved and frothy.
- Pour the remaining hot water into the bowl with the whisked matcha. Stir well to combine. For a creamier texture, add the almond milk or your preferred milk to the tea.
- If you prefer a cold drink, let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for about 30 minutes. Serve over ice cubes if desired.
- Pour the matcha green tea fusion into glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired, and enjoy!
